GH’s Green Team visit Mungoswells Farm
Here at GH we’re serious about sustainability. As part of our journey towards certification with Green Tourism, we’ve sent Ivan and the Green Team to Mungoswells Farm. Ivan, our new Green Tourism intern, offers a detailed report of the visit:
0900 GH new product development and green team arrive at Mungoswells Farm
1100 In the wheat fields checking the ripeness of the crop. ‘The Green Man’ is very excited at this point – he’s ticking a whole load of boxes…
1300 We have arrived back at base with bags full of East Lothian grown and ground flour after a thorough look at the harvest/storage/milling process.
1400 We are sampling sweet and savoury shortbreads made with our new partners ingredients… We are very happy with the results – you can literally taste the east coast!!
